Description
This horseback riding tour in the Pisa hills is made for beginners and lasts about two hours. It starts on the ground, not in the saddle: a short briefing and some practice in the field teach you, or remind you of, the basics of English-style riding, so you get to know your horse before leaving the stable.
After a little practice with the staff, the guided ride begins and runs for about an hour. The loop goes through woods, over a small ford and along ancient tracks below the Torre degli Upezzinghi, with the Monti Pisani around you.
- Caprona, a village
- Nicosia, an abandoned convent
- The Certosa di Calci
Back at the stable, the aperitif is served: local products on a platter, with bread and wine, vegetarian or gluten-free on request. A souvenir photo shoot is part of the experience.
Horse, helmet, equestrian guide and aperitif are included; sports insurance is not. The tour is open to beginners from 8 years old, with an instructor walking beside the children. Riders must weigh no more than 100 kg and wear long trousers and sneakers.
