Description
This Bolgheri wine tasting tour from Livorno is a six-hour trip by private van, with an English-speaking driver, along the coast and into the hills. The air-conditioned van seats seven or eight, a child seat is included, and the return to the port is guaranteed on time.
The day opens with breakfast at the seaside in Castiglioncello: espresso or cappuccino, a warm croissant or home-baked cake, and the coastline in front of you. The road also passes the shoreline of Calafuria.
A winery in Bolgheri comes next, with a tasting and a look at how Tuscany makes its wine. The last stop is the medieval village of Bolgheri, set among rolling hills, whose fame dates back to the final centuries of the medieval period and which later inspired Italian poets.
- Breakfast by the sea
- Wine tasting at a winery
- The village of Bolgheri
The driver takes you around rather than leading a guided walk, so the day is about the breakfast, the wine and the views.
