Description
A Livorno golf cart tour lets you see the city without walking a step: an electric cart, a driver-host and about 90 minutes of slow rides between the port, the canals and the sea.
The route starts in the centre and runs past the port area and the Old Fortress, then reaches the Monument of the Four Moors, one of the best-known sights in town. From there the cart enters the Venezia Nuova district, where canals and bridges recall Livorno's maritime past.
The tour goes on past the New Fortress, Piazza della Repubblica and the area of the Central Market, then turns towards the coast. A panoramic drive along the seafront leads to the final stop.
- Terrazza Mascagni, with a pause for the sea view and for photos
- Venezia Nuova, seen from the cart along its canals
- Old Fortress and the Monument of the Four Moors
Some landmarks are admired from the cart, others get a short photo stop. The order of the stops can change with traffic, road closures and events in the city. Entrance tickets, food, drinks and hotel pickup are not part of the tour, while passenger insurance is. It suits anyone with an hour and a half to spare who wants the main sights of Livorno in one ride.
