Description
A Lucca winery tour with wine tasting begins in the cellars of Tenuta Adamo, in the hills above Lucca. A guide walks you through the stages of production for about 15 to 20 minutes and explains how the wines are made. Depending on the time of year, the work itself may be going on while you pass through.
Then the tasting begins. You sit on the open terrace, which looks out over the vineyard, and four glasses of wine arrive together with extra virgin olive oil and breadsticks. The guide describes the character of each wine as you taste and answers your questions. The whole experience lasts around an hour and a half.

Between glasses you can stroll among the vines and olive trees, and talk with the other guests from around the world. Light food can be added on request. The winery receives several reservations at once, so this is not a private setting. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included, and tips are extra.
