On this Pisa food tour you eat your way through the old centre with a local guide for about two hours. It starts in Piazza dei Cavalieri, once the seat of power in medieval Pisa, where the guide shares tales of noble families, university life and old legends as you look at the Palazzo della Carovana and the Torre della Muda from Dante's Inferno.
From there the walk heads into the market bustle of Piazza delle Vettovaglie, with its arcades, cafés and food shops, and follows the stone arches of Borgo Stretto. The tastings are of Tuscan street food, led by the cecina, Pisa's chickpea pancake.
