Description
This Pisa food tour is a walk that happens mostly around the table. For about three and a half hours, a local guide leads you through lively streets, historic squares and medieval alleys, with stories and legends of the past along the way. The monuments are admired from the outside, and the focus stays on the neighbourhoods around them.
The six tastings come in two styles. Three are seated stops at local eateries, with Pisan dishes and Tuscan comfort food made from fresh seasonal ingredients and brought to your table.
The other three are quick standing tastings in historic bakeries and old-style delis, where you try local favourites standing up: artisanal cheese, cured meat or cecina, the warm chickpea flatbread.
