Description
An opera concert with wine tasting in the Lucca hills, called Vino&Armonie, pairs a glass with a score in the home of the artist who plays. The house dates from the 18th century and sits among vineyards, in the country of Giacomo Puccini and Luigi Boccherini, with a view over the towers of Lucca.
You begin outdoors in the garden, tasting local wines selected among the area's best, with cheeses and other regional products. The programme then moves into La Sala della Musica, where a violin and a piano take over.
The music draws on the Romantic repertoire and on opera fantasies, including pieces in which wine is the star, standing for celebration, passion and life. The whole thing lasts about an hour and a half.

Families are welcome and children can listen to the concert and get juice, while wine is served only to guests over 18. A shuttle from Porta Santa Maria in Lucca can be booked in advance at an extra charge. The venue is not suitable for wheelchair users.
