Description
An e-bike tour with pizza making in Tuscany fills a full day, about five hours, and starts at the bike shop in Peccioli. After a short explanation of how the e-bike works, you ride out through typical Tuscan villages, vineyards, olive groves and quiet bike roads.
The stop is an organic farm on a hilltop, where you put on a souvenir apron and learn to get the wood-fired oven ready. You knead a dough of water, flour, sourdough and salt, then follow the chef into the vegetable garden to pick the seasonal toppings for your own pizza. The chef also shares the recipe for schiacciata all'olio, the Tuscan flatbread made with the farm's olive oil, and you bake your pizza yourself.
