Description
This winery tour near Pisa, in the Peccioli countryside, starts on foot between the vines. Your guide shows how the year runs in a vineyard, from pruning to harvest, before leading you down into the cellar to see what happens to the grapes next.
Then comes the part with glasses. Three local wines are tasted one by one, and the guide teaches a method: first look at the colour, which says a lot about the grape and the way the wine was made, then smell it for fruit, spices and notes typical of Tuscany, and only then taste. Bread and local extra virgin olive oil go with the wines.
By the end you can talk about balance, structure and persistence, and you have a better idea of how to judge the quality of a wine.

The whole experience takes around an hour and is held in English. Minors are welcome, and they are given iced tea or fruit juice. Getting to the venue is up to you.
