Description

Palethnological and paleontological collections originate from the collection Regnoli, Pisan physician who in 1867 conducted the first excavations of the prehistoric caves of Versilia and Mount Pisano. To these finds a number of materials from excavations in various Italian regions, ranging from the Paleolithic to the Bronze Age, have been added over time.
There are also casts of prehistoric artworks and a large collection of animal remains found during excavations, useful for the reconstruction of environments of the past and the analysis of the economy of that era.
