- Tower of Sant'Agnese
Description
It is a tower located in the ancient walls of the city, close to Via Nicola Pisano.
Probably built in the late thirteenth century, the building has a squared base and a massive structure made with stone blocks and bricks.
Its military function implied that there were only few small openings of different shapes and sizes, some framed by stones, others with rectangular or pentagonal architrave.
To the south, there was probably a suspended wooden gallery too, which was accessible through a small door that still exists.
